Performance-Specific Rules/Regulations/Limits:

  • Depending on how quickly the classes go, there may be a ten minute time limit between classes, and if necessary, we will use a timer to ensure that we have enough time for every class
  • Awards will be based on overall setup quality, not solely on points
  • Dressage must state pattern and level
  • Hunter jumps are more natural with neutral colors. No flags are used and ground pole is required
  • Jumper jumps need to have flags and are usually bright and colorful.
English Games should have explanation cards as to what event it is.
  • Same with Western Games
  • Cattle Work must include a calf
  • Western Patterns need to state pattern. Working Cow Horse is a patterned event but also involves a calf
  • Dolls not required
  • For Costume, please limit your scenes to be considerate of our limited space.  If you would like to present a more elaborate setup, please notify the judge and set it up on your table, and she’ll judge it from there
